Electric Vehicles have introduced a future where green technology is in high use and demand. As technology becomes more prevalent, electric vehicles are likely to become even more efficient and sustainable. The world is in a new era of transportation where cleaner cars are no more an imagination. Across its life cycle, an electric vehicle emits fewer greenhouse gases and air pollutants when compared to petrol or diesel equivalent. Emissions are commonly higher in the production phase of electric cars, which are more than offset by lower emissions in the use phase over time. An electric vehicle also uses battery power to drive the motor, burns no gasoline or other fossil fuels and therefore is zero carbon emissions vehicles. Any emissions created are indirect, coming from the source of electricity. The European Environment Agency’s new Transport and Environment Reporting Mechanism (TERM) report came to the necessary conclusion that when it comes to climate change and air quality, electric vehicles are preferable over fuel vehicles. Contrary to some public doubts and uncertainties about its environmental benefits, the fact is increasingly clear, and these benefits will further increase going forward as the use of renewable energy increases. Check Out This : Electrical Business Review One of the significant reasons for the introduction of electric cars is the concern over greenhouse gas emissions and their contribution to global warming. The impact of reduced carbon emissions can benefit urban areas, where a vast majority uses cars. Decreased air pollution due to the absence of the exhaust pipe promotes more sustainability for electric vehicles, which in turn dramatically reduces the negative impact of transportation needs on the environment. Overall electric vehicles are significantly cleaner and safer for the environment than conventional cars. The most considerable risk to the environment from fuel-powered cars are air pollution, depletion of the ozone layer from emitted chemical substances, and the occasional oil and radiator chemicals leakage, which usually seep into the soil, water supply thus harming all living organisms eventually. Pollutants found in car exhaust cause health issues and chemicals like carbon monoxide and benzene prevents oxygen intake and are linked to severe illnesses like cancer. Embracing the electronic vehicle revolution will not only help reduce environmental impacts but adds to public health benefits and fuels technological innovation. It is high time to embrace the change and look towards the future. ...Read more
IoT technologies make it possible to read license plate numbers and container codes faster and more accurately. In addition, IoT solutions can capture and analyze data using facial and vehicle recognition imaging. According to one report, the number of Internet of Things (IoT) devices will surpass 1.5 billion in 2022, and the number of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) connections will surpass 3.5 billion by 2023. An ever-increasing number of IoT applications is fueled by the exponential growth of embedded computers and IoT connections. Traffic engineering, oil and gas exploration, data logging, and other industrial sectors may benefit from the use of IoT devices. However, there are obstacles to be solved. The Challenges of Border Security and Customs Officers When it comes to border security and customs, there are many obstacles to overcome. Suspicious persons can be identified, historical car data can be accessed, identification and personal records of vehicle drivers can be integrated, and license plate details can be quickly located, to name a few. However, these are merely difficulties for border officers. Traditional police forces and toll booths are not immune to these security threats. [vendor_logo_first] What can be done? For one thing, IoT technologies make it possible to read license plate numbers and container codes faster and more accurately. In addition, IoT solutions can capture and analyze data using facial and vehicle recognition imaging. LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology can be used to monitor speed, volume, and weather conditions. Oil and Gas Exploration Issues Exploration for oil and gas is a high-stakes company involving harsh environmental conditions, highly flammable chemicals, and costly machinery. The position and equipment costs are the two most important obstacles in this industry. The two are inextricably related. Furthermore, oil fields are usually located in a sandy, dusty desert or along a gulf. Both environments can be hazardous to equipment. IoT solutions are required to collect data on equipment to track its condition and plan maintenance to avoid unexpected breakdowns. SBCs (Session Border Controllers) that are sufficiently rugged and capable of maintaining consistent performance in harsh environments while requiring little maintenance is needed for industrial applications of rugged computers. To allow interoperability, SBCs must also be able to extend or integrate with other systems. Finally, the IoT solution must guard against cyberattacks and keep high-value equipment secure. The 7 essential things to understand and come up with an effective maintenance management plan It is daunting to make sweeping changes to a manufacturing operation. Enterprises of all sizes realize that the risk of failure with hassle is too high. Nevertheless, the increasingly dynamic environment means that no manufacturer can risk the chance of lagging. Fortunately, many businesses at present have ironed out the problems that first adopters had in the past. Small businesses are no longer standing by due to cost in terms of technology solutions. Predictive methods at present are more accurate than ever before. Below given are some tips to prepare an effective maintenance management plan:  Prioritize Downtime and its Reasons:  By understanding who the company is working with, any change in strategy can be carried out seamlessly. To successfully transition to a much efficient maintenance strategy, one must gather relevant data on the company's current state of affairs.  Implement a Personalized Maintenance Strategy After the downtime cost is quantified, an approximate figure on maintenance can be allotted. Every business needs to even out the competing priorities where allocating budget is necessary. When margins are low, maintenance is frequently slashed as well. With more maintenance, higher availability and less downtime is the result, but it’s simpler to make a case with concrete figures. Computerized Maintenance Management Solution (CMMS) is Worth Investing in:  In the modern manufacturing scene, digitalization is not just an option anymore. Preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance efforts can only be managed by using spreadsheets and manual methods. For implementing cost-effective and efficient predictive maintenance, more computational power is required.  For business owners, CMMS software in today’s environment is more accessible, user-friendly, and affordable. The switch to cloud-based technologies no longer cost hefty capital investments in an on-premise system. And also, the transition to a monthly-as-a-Service model at a discounted price point means businesses of all sizes have a solution that works for them. Adopt a Digital Maintenance Schedule With data and software in hand, you can then start moving from reactive to proactive. Your CMMS software and last maintenance dates will reveal your initial preventive maintenance schedule. Synchronize Work Orders, Technicians, Spare-Parts and Maintenance Programmes Maintenance typically requires the consumption of materials. Whether simple or complex, the parts to complete a task should be on hand before the task is started. All businesses face the decision of risking tying up too much value in the parts warehouse vs. extending downtime due to out-of-stock parts. Maintenance cannot be efficient without robust spare parts management. Track Short-Term KPIs and Build Long Term Maintenance Programmes A key advantage of CMMS software is that metric tracking is taken care of with minimal administration. KPIs like Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Planned Maintenance Percentage (PMP), and system availability are calculated automatically. CMMS software also comes with predefined reports and graphics which give stakeholders a clear picture of progress and problem areas. Make Data-Driven Adjustments to Maintenance Plan With a clear picture of your performance baseline, the effect of new changes can be measured over days, weeks, and months. Experts recommend introducing one or two new changes at a time to limit the number of variables that affect your metrics. This also helps isolate any changes, which will ultimately have negative effects. See Also: Business Management Review ...Read more
